Job Description:
The Contract Law Associate in Al Shamal supports legal operations by specializing in contract law and providing legal assistance in drafting, reviewing, and interpreting a variety of legal agreements. This role involves working closely with senior legal advisors, in-house counsel, and business units to ensure contracts are legally compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with organizational goals. The associate is responsible for conducting legal research on contract-related issues, advising stakeholders on contractual obligations, and assisting in risk identification and mitigation during negotiations.
Typical agreements handled include employment contracts, supply agreements, lease contracts, service level agreements, and licensing deals. The associate also helps maintain the contract database, track key contractual deadlines, and ensure that modifications and renewals are managed proactively. This is an ideal role for a junior to mid-level legal professional with strong analytical abilities and a clear understanding of Qatari and international contract law.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); coursework or specialization in Contract Law preferred.
Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in a legal or corporate contract law role.
Skills:
Solid understanding of contract drafting, interpretation, and legal structuring.
Ability to review and revise various contract types.
Proficient in legal research and risk assessment.
Skilled in negotiation support and client advisory.
Language: Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.
Other Requirements:
Familiarity with Qatari legal systems and GCC commercial practices.
