Job Description:
The Analytical Chemist is responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses of materials used in construction, manufacturing, and environmental engineering projects in Mesaieed, Qatar. This role ensures that raw materials, concrete mixes, coatings, water samples, and other substances meet regulatory and project-specific standards for composition, safety, and performance.
Key duties include performing laboratory testing using advanced analytical techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and titration. The chemist prepares technical reports, interprets results for engineering teams, and advises on material selection and compliance. The role also supports quality control processes by identifying contaminants or inconsistencies in materials that could affect construction durability or environmental safety.
The Analytical Chemist works closely with civil and environmental engineers, procurement teams, and regulatory authorities to maintain high standards across project lifecycles. Their expertise is essential in safeguarding quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance in Qatar’s industrial and infrastructure development.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related science field.
Experience: 3–5 years in analytical laboratory work, preferably in construction materials, environmental monitoring, or industrial quality control.
Skills:
Proficiency in using analytical instruments (AAS, ICP, GC, HPLC, FTIR).
Strong knowledge of QA/QC protocols and lab safety standards.
Ability to interpret test data and relate findings to engineering applications.
Experience preparing technical reports and certificates of analysis.
Familiarity with ISO, ASTM, or other relevant testing standards.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of Qatari environmental and material regulations is preferred.
Attention to detail and high standards for laboratory accuracy.
Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional engineering teams.
Willingness to support field testing and site inspections as needed.
