Job Description:
The Architectural Drafter supports the architectural design process by creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and documentation for residential, commercial, and public infrastructure projects in Al Thakhira, Qatar. Working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers, the drafter translates conceptual sketches and design intent into accurate, scaled construction documents in compliance with Qatari building codes and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include preparing floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, coordinating with structural and MEP teams, updating drawings during design revisions, and assisting in documentation for permits and tenders. The drafter also ensures consistency in file organization, annotation standards, and drawing quality across multiple project phases.
This role is essential to ensuring that architectural designs are accurately conveyed and ready for approval, coordination, and execution within Qatar’s evolving urban landscape.
Job Requirement:
Education: Diploma or associate degree in Architectural Drafting, Building Design Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in architectural drafting, preferably in the GCC region.
Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural drafting tools.
Strong understanding of architectural detailing, materials, and building codes.
Ability to interpret design briefs, sketches, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with construction documentation and local permit requirements.
Attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
