Job Description:
The Automation and Robotics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robotic and automated systems that enhance productivity, precision, and efficiency in industrial, logistics, and infrastructure sectors in Al Wakrah, Qatar. This role supports Qatar’s movement toward smart manufacturing and advanced automation across various industries.
Key responsibilities include designing robotic cells, programming robots and PLCs, integrating vision systems, and optimizing automated workflows. The engineer works closely with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of robotic systems within existing processes. The role also involves performing system simulations, testing prototypes, troubleshooting equipment, and providing technical support for installation and maintenance.
The Automation and Robotics Engineer plays a crucial role in Qatar’s industrial innovation strategy, contributing to cost reduction, safety enhancement, and production reliability through cutting-edge technology implementation.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 4–8 years in robotics programming, industrial automation, or control systems engineering.
Skills:
Proficiency in robotic programming (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA) and PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
Experience with automation software, HMI, and SCADA systems.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and sensor technologies.
Strong analytical, programming, and system integration skills.
Ability to design and optimize automated workflows and robotic applications.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic is an asset.
Other Requirements:
Familiarity with ISO safety standards for industrial automation and robotics.
Hands-on experience with robotics simulation tools (e.g., RoboDK, ROS).
Willingness to work in field environments for deployment and commissioning.
