Job Description:
The BIM Coordinator is responsible for managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and ensuring consistent data flow, model accuracy, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams in Al Gharrafa, Qatar. This role plays a key part in delivering efficient design, documentation, and construction workflows for architectural, structural, and MEP systems on large-scale projects.
Key responsibilities include developing and enforcing BIM execution plans, reviewing federated models for clashes and constructability, ensuring compliance with project standards, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design conflicts. The BIM Coordinator also manages model versioning, data exchange protocols, and digital collaboration platforms, supporting seamless integration from design through construction.
This position is instrumental in enhancing project quality, reducing design errors, and improving collaboration in Qatar’s evolving digital construction landscape.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
Experience: 4–6 years of experience in BIM coordination on multidisciplinary construction projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
Strong understanding of clash detection, model integration, and LOD requirements.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
Familiarity with international BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
Other Requirements:
Experience working in BIM environments on mid- to large-scale projects.
Knowledge of Qatar’s digital construction mandates and BIM protocols.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple models and stakeholders.
Capacity to lead model reviews and provide training to design teams.
