Job Description:
The BIM Implementation Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies across engineering and architectural projects in Doha, Qatar. This role ensures alignment with global and Qatari digital construction standards while enhancing efficiency, collaboration, and data integrity throughout project lifecycles.
Key duties include drafting BIM execution plans, setting up project templates and workflows, training teams on BIM standards, and coordinating software integration across departments. The specialist also supports compliance with ISO 19650 and local BIM mandates, evaluates project readiness for digital adoption, and drives continuous improvement in BIM-related technologies and practices. Working closely with design, construction, and facility management teams, the BIM Implementation Specialist ensures that digital models are used effectively for planning, visualization, cost analysis, and asset management.
This position is essential in transforming traditional project delivery into a fully digital and collaborative environment, in line with Qatar’s national digital infrastructure and sustainability goals.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Technology; certification in BIM management is preferred.
Experience: 5–8 years in BIM implementation or management, including experience in training and digital strategy development.
Skills:
Expertise in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and other BIM tools.
Strong understanding of data interoperability, IFC standards, and CDE platforms.
Familiarity with ISO 19650, PAS 1192, and Qatari BIM protocols.
Excellent training, communication, and documentation skills.
Strategic thinking and ability to manage change within multidisciplinary teams.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
