Job Description:

The Aroma Technician based in Dukhan plays a specialized role in the food and beverage production process, focusing on the creation, blending, and quality control of aromas used in various food products. The technician is responsible for ensuring that aroma compounds meet sensory and safety standards, enhancing the overall flavor profile of finished goods.

Primary duties include preparing aroma blends according to specific formulations, monitoring the consistency of aromas during production, and testing samples to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. The Aroma Technician collaborates with research and development teams to improve aroma formulations and adapts processes based on sensory evaluation feedback.

Maintaining cleanliness in the aroma preparation area and adhering strictly to health and safety protocols is essential to prevent contamination. The role involves operating specialized equipment designed for mixing and storing aroma compounds safely.

The technician must keep detailed records of production batches and ingredient usage, supporting traceability and quality assurance. This position demands a keen sense of smell, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of food safety regulations, especially those relevant to Qatar’s food industry.

Job Requirement:

Education: Diploma or certification in food science, chemistry, or related field is preferred.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in aroma technology or flavor production within the food industry.

Skills:

Expertise in handling aroma compounds and flavor ingredients.

Ability to perform sensory evaluations and quality checks.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Competent in using aroma mixing and storage equipment.

Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

Language: Proficiency in English or Arabic.
