Job Description:
The Baking Oven Technician in Umm Salal is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of industrial baking ovens used in commercial bakeries or food production plants. This role ensures that baking ovens function efficiently, safely, and consistently to support the continuous production of baked goods such as bread, pastries, and cakes.
Key responsibilities include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, and carrying out preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. The technician calibrates oven temperature controls, monitors baking cycles, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaborating with production managers and quality assurance teams, the technician ensures that baking processes meet product specifications.
The role also involves maintaining maintenance logs, ordering replacement parts, and training bakery staff on proper oven usage and safety protocols. The technician must be able to respond promptly to emergencies or equipment failures to avoid disruptions in production schedules.
Job Requirement:
Education: Diploma or certification in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
Experience: 2+ years in industrial oven or bakery equipment maintenance preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in baking ovens.
Ability to diagnose and repair oven malfunctions.
Familiarity with safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Language: Proficient in English; Arabic is a plus.
