Job Description:
The Back-of-House Manager in Doha is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations to ensure efficient food production and quality control. This role manages kitchen staff, coordinates food preparation, monitors inventory levels, and maintains hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen. The manager works closely with the Executive Chef and front-of-house team to ensure timely and seamless service.
Key duties include scheduling and supervising kitchen employees, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing food costs and waste control, and coordinating with suppliers for timely procurement of ingredients. The Back-of-House Manager also trains staff on cooking techniques, kitchen equipment use, and sanitation protocols to maintain high-quality food production.
This position demands strong leadership skills and operational expertise to contribute to the overall success of food and beverage services in Doha’s hospitality sector.
Job Requirement:
Education: Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years managing kitchen or food production teams.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
Ability to manage inventory and control food costs.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic skills are an advantage.
