Job Description:
The Boiler Fabrication Technician in Umm Salal is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of boilers and pressure vessels used in energy plants and industrial facilities. This role involves working with metal components to build and repair boilers that meet safety and quality standards.
Key duties include interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, cutting and shaping metal parts, welding, and assembling boiler components. The technician ensures that fabrication processes comply with engineering specifications and industry codes. Regular inspection and testing of boiler parts are conducted to guarantee reliability and safety.
The role requires collaboration with engineers, welders, and maintenance teams to support installation and repair projects. The Boiler Fabrication Technician must adhere to strict safety protocols due to the hazards associated with working on high-pressure equipment and hot materials.
Job Requirement:
Education: Technical diploma or certification in welding, metal fabrication, or mechanical engineering.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in boiler fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing.
Skills:
Proficient in welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and arc welding.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in boiler fabrication.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Language: Good communication skills in English; Arabic is beneficial.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work in industrial and potentially hazardous environments.
Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
Valid Qatar driving license preferred.
