Job Description:
The Drilling Data Technician in Mesaieed plays a critical role in collecting, monitoring, and managing drilling operation data to support oil and gas exploration and production. Working closely with drilling engineers and site supervisors, the technician records real-time data related to drilling parameters, geological formations, and equipment performance.
Key responsibilities include operating data acquisition systems, analyzing drilling logs, and ensuring accuracy and integrity of data for operational decision-making. The technician supports the preparation of daily drilling reports and assists in troubleshooting technical issues during drilling operations.
This role requires collaboration with geologists, engineers, and data analysts to optimize drilling processes, reduce non-productive time, and enhance safety. Maintaining data storage systems and adhering to quality and safety standards are essential duties.
Job Requirement:
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or related technical field.
Experience: 2–4 years in drilling data management or oilfield technical support.
Skills:
Proficiency in drilling data acquisition and logging software.
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
Ability to work under pressure in field environments.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Language: Proficient in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
