Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Water Quality Analyst to join our Agriculture & Fisheries team in Al Shahaniya, Qatar. The role focuses on evaluating and maintaining the quality of water resources critical to agricultural irrigation and aquaculture systems. The successful candidate will conduct water sampling, analyze physical and chemical parameters, and assess environmental impact in compliance with national and international water quality standards.
Responsibilities include monitoring pollutant levels, developing reports on water conditions, and recommending corrective actions to improve water quality. The analyst will collaborate with agricultural engineers, fisheries managers, and government agencies to implement sustainable water management practices. Fieldwork in rural and aquatic environments is a key component of the job, alongside laboratory testing and data interpretation.
The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of water chemistry, hydrology, and environmental science, and be capable of using analytical tools and GIS software for reporting. The role supports Qatar’s national strategy for food security and sustainable water use in agriculture and fisheries.
