Job Description:
The Industrial Tractor Operator in Lusail, Qatar, is responsible for operating tractors used in industrial, construction, and agricultural environments. This role involves maneuvering heavy machinery to assist in earthmoving, material transport, and site preparation tasks critical to infrastructure development and industrial operations.
Key duties include driving tractors to tow trailers, haul materials, and perform grading or soil conditioning using attachments such as plows, blades, or rollers. The operator conducts pre-operation inspections to ensure the tractor is in safe working condition, including checking fluids, tires, and controls. Coordination with site supervisors and labor crews is essential to meet project timelines and safety standards.
The operator must skillfully handle tractors in various terrains and weather conditions, maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing equipment wear. Responsibilities also include basic maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication and reporting any mechanical issues promptly to maintenance teams. Strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and protective gear use is mandatory.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in tractor operation preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years operating industrial or agricultural tractors in construction or industrial settings.
Skills:
Proficient in operating tractors with various attachments.
Understanding of tractor mechanics and safe driving techniques.
Ability to read and follow site plans and instructions.
Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
Awareness of site safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Language: Basic English communication skills; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
