Job Description:
The Interior Space Planner is responsible for designing and optimizing interior layouts that balance aesthetics, functionality, and compliance with building standards across residential, commercial, and institutional spaces in Al Wakrah, Qatar. Working closely with architects, interior designers, and project managers, the planner analyzes space usage requirements and creates detailed layout plans that improve flow, maximize utility, and reflect client needs.
Key responsibilities include space audits, occupancy studies, layout drafting, furniture placement strategy, and integration of mechanical and electrical considerations into floor plans. The role requires aligning spatial solutions with Qatar’s building codes, fire safety regulations, and universal design principles. The planner ensures that the interiors are user-friendly, compliant, and adaptable to future needs.
This position demands strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce documentation and presentations for client approvals. It is ideal for professionals passionate about translating technical constraints and user requirements into efficient, attractive interior environments.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Facilities Planning.
Experience: 2–4 years in interior planning, workplace design, or space management.
Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and space planning tools.
Strong understanding of ergonomics and interior design codes.
Ability to prepare space studies, layout drawings, and occupancy reports.
Familiarity with furniture specifications and modular design systems.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and visual communication skills.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic is an asset.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of Qatari building regulations and fire safety codes.
Experience coordinating with MEP, architectural, and design teams.
Ability to adapt layouts for evolving business or residential needs.
