Job Description:
The Precision Toolmaker in Madinat ash Shamal, Qatar, is responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining high-precision tools, dies, and molds used in heavy machinery and industrial equipment production. This role requires expert knowledge of toolmaking techniques and the use of advanced machinery such as lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment.
Primary duties include interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, selecting appropriate materials, and performing fine machining operations to create precision components. The toolmaker also inspects finished tools for accuracy and quality, adjusts tooling setups, and collaborates with engineers to optimize tool design for manufacturing efficiency.
The position demands meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Maintaining documentation of tooling processes and conducting preventive maintenance on toolmaking equipment are also important responsibilities.
Job Requirement:
Education: Technical diploma or certification in toolmaking, precision machining, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in precision toolmaking or related machining.
Skills:
Proficient with machine tools including lathes, grinders, and CNC machines.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Knowledge of materials and machining techniques.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Language: Proficient in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
