Job Description:
The Spatial Design Consultant plays a strategic role in shaping the functionality, flow, and aesthetic of physical spaces across residential, commercial, and public infrastructure projects in Umm Salal, Qatar. This role bridges architecture, interior planning, and user experience by analyzing how people interact with built environments and proposing spatial arrangements that optimize efficiency, comfort, and design coherence. The consultant collaborates with architects, urban planners, and developers to refine layouts, circulation paths, furniture placement, and zoning strategies.
Key responsibilities include conducting spatial needs assessments, developing schematic design proposals, creating mood boards and spatial diagrams, and advising on ergonomic and environmental factors. The consultant also ensures spatial solutions comply with local regulations, accessibility standards, and cultural sensitivities relevant to Qatar’s diverse communities.
The role requires both analytical and creative thinking, with a strong grasp of spatial planning software, human-centered design principles, and project visualization techniques. Ideal candidates bring a collaborative mindset and a passion for enhancing the quality and usability of designed environments.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spatial Design, Interior Architecture, or Urban Design.
Experience: 3–5 years in spatial planning, interior architecture, or design consultancy.
Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong spatial awareness and understanding of user-centered design.
Ability to interpret architectural plans and client briefs.
Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and space utilization metrics.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic skills are a plus.
