Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Compaction Equipment Operator to join our infrastructure development team in Valencia. You will be responsible for operating machinery such as plate compactors, trench compactors, and ride‑on rollers to ensure stable ground preparation for construction sites, roadways, and landscaping projects.
Your daily operations will include setting equipment parameters, compacting soil or aggregate layers to achieve specified density, assessing surface conditions, and coordinating timing with ground or paving crews. You will also perform pre‑use checks of hydraulic systems, engine fluids, and safety guards before each shift.
You’ll ensure proper compaction techniques are applied, monitor compaction coverage, and report inconsistencies or mechanical issues to maintenance staff. Teamwork and communication with site laborers, supervisors, and surveyors are essential to achieving quality results.
This hands‑on role is ideal for someone experienced with compaction tools and machinery, comfortable working outdoors, and passionate about creating stable, long‑lasting surfaces. If you take pride in precision work and supporting infrastructure reliability, this role is a solid career opportunity.
Job Requirement:
Candidates should have prior experience operating compaction equipment, including trench rollers, wacker plates, or tandem rollers. A valid equipment‑operation certification or license is preferred. Experience in construction, landscaping, or civil works is expected.
You must know how to measure compaction depth, manage equipment weight distribution, and adjust rolling patterns based on surface conditions. Mechanical aptitude is required for basic maintenance such as checking hydraulic fluids, air filters, and safety controls.
Physical stamina is necessary as the job involves standing, walking on uneven terrain, and heavy‑equipment operation under sun exposure. Good communication skills in Spanish are required for coordination with crew members and interpreting work orders.
Attention to detail and awareness of safety regulations, including PPE usage and site hazard coordination, are essential. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to follow schedules are important traits. Basic English reading ability is beneficial for understanding instruction manuals.
Flexibility to work early shifts or weekends may be required on construction timelines. Candidates should demonstrate responsibility, safety focus, and a solid teamwork attitude for consistent compaction results.
