Job Description:

We are hiring a Heavy Dump Truck Operator to support our construction and material transport operations in Granada. You will be responsible for operating large-capacity dump trucks to transport earth, rock, sand, and debris to and from job sites.

Your duties include vehicle inspection, loading coordination, safe navigation through varied terrain, and controlled unloading procedures. You’ll work closely with excavation and loading machine operators to ensure timely and accurate hauls.

You must understand site logistics, dumping zones, and gradient navigation for heavy-load control. Proper gear shifting, brake management, and load balance are key to safe performance.

This is a vital role in supporting large construction phases, excavation operations, and site prep. You’ll contribute to material movement efficiency and site safety standards.

Job Requirement:

Applicants must have experience operating heavy dump trucks (20+ ton capacity) in construction or mining settings. A valid heavy equipment operator license is required.

You must demonstrate knowledge of load weight limits, dump angles, and terrain risk assessment. Vehicle maintenance awareness, including brake checks, tire pressure, and hydraulic system care, is critical.

Familiarity with on-site haul routes and radio communication for job coordination is expected. Ability to reverse in tight areas and dump with accuracy is mandatory.

Spanish fluency is necessary. A basic command of English helps with understanding safety signs and mixed-language crews.

Applicants should be punctual, safety-conscious, and capable of maintaining transport logs. Physical ability to climb in and out of large vehicles and work extended shifts outdoors is required.

Willingness to work on uneven or muddy terrain and follow strict safety rules is a must. PPE usage, including seat belts and reflective vests, is expected.
