Job Description:
We are hiring a skilled Hydraulic Excavator Operator to support excavation and construction operations in Granada. The role involves operating hydraulic excavators of various sizes to dig trenches, foundations, remove debris, and perform earthmoving tasks on construction sites and roadwork projects.
You will be responsible for maneuvering the excavator safely and efficiently, coordinating movements with other equipment and crew, and ensuring the excavation is completed to project specifications. You will operate in both confined and open spaces, occasionally needing to adjust to difficult terrain or environmental conditions.
Daily responsibilities include performing equipment inspections, identifying maintenance needs, and documenting usage. You may also assist in material loading, grading, and site preparation. A strong understanding of excavation patterns, slope control, and ground conditions is essential for this position.

Job Requirement:
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience operating hydraulic excavators in a construction or civil works environment. A valid heavy equipment operator license or equivalent certification recognized in Spain is mandatory.
You must demonstrate proficiency in reading excavation plans, blueprints, and grade stakes. Familiarity with trench safety protocols, soil classification, and the safe handling of utility infrastructure during excavation is expected.
The ability to control swing radius, dig depth, and attachment use with accuracy is essential. Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance, including oil checks, hydraulic line inspection, and bucket alignment is required.
Excellent communication skills are necessary to work with ground crews, signalers, and supervisors. Candidates should be comfortable operating in varied weather and terrain conditions, maintaining high standards of safety and precision throughout the shift.
Basic knowledge of Spanish is required, and understanding of English is an asset. Willingness to work extended hours or weekends to meet project deadlines is essential.
