Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Steel Fabricator to join our fabrication workshop in Barcelona. This position is responsible for reading engineering designs and turning raw steel into usable components for structural and mechanical applications.

You will operate various fabrication machinery such as plasma cutters, angle grinders, press brakes, and shears. Key responsibilities include measuring, cutting, welding, and shaping steel into specified forms based on drawings or CAD files provided by engineers or architects.

You’ll also assemble prefabricated steel parts and ensure the accuracy of each component before they move into final assembly or shipment. Daily duties involve both independent tasks and collaboration with other fabricators, welders, and quality control inspectors.

As a fabricator, you’ll be expected to maintain safety, efficiency, and cleanliness in your work area. You will troubleshoot minor fabrication issues, keep records of work completed, and maintain equipment in good working condition.

This is a physically demanding and technically precise job, ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands and has an eye for quality craftsmanship. The role offers opportunities to work on varied projects, including custom builds and large-scale industrial orders.

Job Requirement:

Applicants must have at least a secondary education or trade school certification in welding, metalwork, or mechanical fabrication. Prior experience in steel fabrication, particularly using MIG or TIG welding processes, is mandatory.

You must be able to interpret blueprints, technical schematics, and fabrication plans. Proficiency in using tools such as cutting torches, grinders, saws, and measuring instruments is essential. Familiarity with CNC fabrication machines is an added advantage.

The ideal candidate will possess good spatial awareness, hand dexterity, and a deep understanding of metal properties and fabrication techniques. A strong safety mindset and adherence to workplace regulations, especially regarding protective gear and handling hot metals, are expected.

Physical strength and stamina are needed to move and manipulate large sheets or beams of steel. Good teamwork, time management, and the ability to work under production deadlines are also important.

You should be able to lift up to 25 kg regularly and work in noisy, hot environments. Fluency in Spanish is required, and English comprehension is beneficial for technical documentation.

Willingness to work overtime or shift schedules, when required by project demands, is also a must.
