Job Description:
The Academic Content Developer in Dubai plays a central role in producing high-quality instructional materials and learning resources that support formal education programs across higher education or professional training institutions. This role involves creating content aligned with academic standards, learning objectives, and course outcomes, ensuring it is both pedagogically sound and engaging for diverse student populations.
Key responsibilities include developing lecture notes, course guides, assessments, presentations, and multimedia-rich learning modules in collaboration with subject matter experts and instructional designers. The developer ensures that content aligns with curriculum requirements, is culturally sensitive, and adheres to accessibility and copyright standards. They also adapt existing materials for different delivery modes such as online, blended, or in-person learning.
The Academic Content Developer works with academic leadership to revise and update curriculum frameworks, incorporate new research or industry trends, and ensure alignment with accreditation requirements. They may be involved in creating formative and summative assessment tools, interactive e-learning content, and academic reference guides. The role demands consistency in language, formatting, and instructional clarity across materials.
Job Requirement:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, English, or a relevant subject area is required. At least 3 years of experience in academic content creation, curriculum development, or instructional publishing is preferred. Strong research, writing, and editing skills are essential, along with proficiency in digital authoring tools and LMS platforms. Attention to detail, understanding of learning theories, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively are key. English fluency is required; Arabic is a bonus for regional content adaptation.
