Job Description:
The Academic Program Lead in Ajman holds a key leadership role within a higher education institution, overseeing the design, delivery, and quality assurance of specific academic programs. This role is central to maintaining academic excellence, ensuring curriculum relevance, and promoting student success through effective program management and faculty coordination.
Core responsibilities include managing program development and review processes, aligning curriculum with accreditation requirements, and ensuring learning outcomes meet industry and academic standards. The Program Lead works closely with faculty members to support course planning, teaching assignments, and instructional quality. They also engage in student advising, admissions coordination, and academic performance monitoring.
In addition, the Program Lead is responsible for facilitating internal audits, preparing reports for accreditation and academic boards, and incorporating stakeholder feedback into curriculum development. The role requires collaboration with senior academic leaders, industry partners, and external evaluators to keep the program current, competitive, and responsive to regional workforce demands. The position often includes teaching responsibilities alongside administrative duties.
Job Requirement:
A master’s or doctoral degree in the relevant academic field is required, along with 5–7 years of experience in teaching and academic administration. Strong knowledge of curriculum design, learning outcomes-based education, and accreditation procedures (e.g., CAA, international bodies) is essential. Leadership, organization, and communication skills are critical, along with the ability to manage faculty and student engagement effectively. English fluency is mandatory; Arabic is beneficial for institutional communication and student support.
