Job Description:

The Academic Development Officer in Al Ain supports institutional academic enhancement efforts by coordinating programs and services aimed at improving teaching quality, curriculum standards, and faculty performance. This role works within the academic affairs department to implement initiatives related to faculty development, learning resource improvement, instructional innovation, and academic performance assessment. Responsibilities include organizing workshops, peer observation schemes, and instructional training sessions to enhance teaching practices. The officer collaborates with academic departments to support curriculum reviews, accreditation preparation, and learning outcome documentation. Additionally, the Academic Development Officer contributes to the analysis of student performance data and helps design interventions to support learner success. The role also involves compiling reports, managing educational resources, and facilitating academic planning meetings. A focus on excellence, continuous improvement, and strategic alignment underpins the work of this position. The officer plays a critical liaison role between faculty, academic support units, and senior leadership, ensuring that academic programs meet evolving institutional and sectoral expectations.

Job Requirement:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, educational leadership, or a related discipline is required. Prior experience in academic coordination, faculty development, or quality assurance in higher education is important. Candidates should possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Familiarity with teaching and learning frameworks, instructional tools, and educational policy is expected. Competence in data reporting and academic documentation is an asset.
