Job Description:

The Academic Program Developer is responsible for designing, reviewing, and enhancing academic curricula that align with institutional goals and accreditation standards. Based in Al Ain, the role collaborates with faculty, academic leaders, and subject matter experts to develop innovative and industry-relevant academic programs. This position requires conducting research on emerging trends in education and labor markets to ensure curricula meet current and future student needs. The developer will oversee the planning and execution of new degree and certificate programs, revise existing offerings for relevance and rigor, and support instructional design for both in-person and online delivery formats. Responsibilities include curriculum mapping, developing learning outcomes, and ensuring alignment with national qualifications frameworks and international benchmarks. The Academic Program Developer also coordinates program approval processes, manages documentation for accreditation, and contributes to faculty development initiatives related to pedagogy and assessment. The role demands strong project management, data analysis, and educational writing skills, with an emphasis on learner-centered design and inclusive education principles. Working closely with internal departments such as quality assurance, registrar services, and institutional research, the position plays a pivotal role in academic innovation and institutional advancement.

Job Requirement:

A master’s degree or PhD in education, curriculum development, or a related field is typically required. Experience in higher education program design, accreditation processes, and learning outcome assessment is essential. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of instructional design models and national/international qualification frameworks. Proficiency in academic research, program evaluation, and curriculum mapping tools is highly desirable. Effective communication, collaboration with stakeholders, and project leadership are crucial. Familiarity with digital education platforms and blended learning models is a strong asset.
