Job Description:

The Academic Program Director in Dubai is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of academic programs at a college or university. This role ensures academic excellence, compliance with accreditation standards, and alignment with institutional goals and industry needs.

Key responsibilities include designing program structures, approving course content, overseeing faculty recruitment and development, and ensuring that curriculum outcomes meet regulatory and market requirements. The Director works closely with department heads, curriculum committees, and accreditation bodies to update program offerings and integrate innovative teaching methodologies, including digital learning technologies and experiential education models.

The Academic Program Director is also responsible for monitoring student performance, program enrollment, and graduation rates to ensure program success. They contribute to marketing strategies, student recruitment, and industry engagement efforts that enhance the program’s visibility and value. Additionally, the Director plays a key role in budgeting, staffing, and managing academic resources efficiently.

Job Requirement:

A doctoral or master’s degree in a relevant academic discipline is required, along with at least 7–10 years of experience in higher education, including leadership roles in academic administration. Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of curriculum development, accreditation (e.g., CAA, international agencies), and institutional governance. Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with academic and industry stakeholders. English fluency is mandatory; Arabic is advantageous for regulatory and institutional communication.
