Job Description:
The Boiler Fabrication Technician in Dubai is responsible for the precise assembly, welding, and installation of boilers and associated pressure systems used in energy plants, industrial facilities, and HVAC systems. This role demands comprehensive knowledge of boiler design specifications, blueprint interpretation, and adherence to ASME codes and safety standards. The technician will cut, form, and join metal components using various welding processes such as TIG, MIG, and arc welding to fabricate components like boiler drums, tubes, and shells. Routine responsibilities include aligning parts with precision, conducting pressure tests, repairing defective welds, and inspecting fabrication quality at all stages of production.
This position also involves collaborating with engineers and inspectors to ensure compliance with manufacturing protocols and client specifications. The technician will use tools such as grinders, plasma cutters, and hydraulic presses while maintaining a clean and organized fabrication environment. The job requires strong spatial awareness, manual dexterity, and adherence to thermal stress management practices to ensure structural integrity of boilers under extreme pressure and temperature.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining efficiency, reducing downtime, and upholding safety standards in energy operations. The ability to work independently or within a team, especially in high-stakes industrial environments, is crucial.
Job Requirement:
Education: A technical diploma or certificate in welding, fabrication, or mechanical engineering is required. Specialized training in boiler or pressure vessel fabrication is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial boiler or pressure vessel fabrication, preferably within the energy or manufacturing sector.
Skills: Proficient in blueprint reading, TIG/MIG/arc welding, metal cutting and shaping, pressure testing, and equipment handling. Familiarity with ASME Section I and VIII is essential.
Other Requirements: Physical fitness, ability to work in confined spaces and elevated locations, and knowledge of industrial safety practices. Welding certifications (e.g., ASME, AWS) are a strong advantage.
