Job Description:
The Building Energy Assessor in Abu Dhabi plays a critical role in evaluating the energy performance of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings to promote energy efficiency and sustainability. This position involves conducting detailed on-site energy audits, analyzing building systems, and identifying opportunities for energy savings.
The assessor inspects heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, insulation, and other building components to determine their efficiency and compliance with local and international energy standards. They collect data using specialized tools and software, prepare comprehensive assessment reports, and recommend energy conservation measures to building owners, managers, and developers.
Collaboration with architects, engineers, and facility managers is essential to guide the implementation of energy-saving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness. The role requires staying up-to-date with regulations, green building certifications, and technological advancements in energy management.
Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication are vital for delivering accurate assessments and practical recommendations. Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, environmental science, or related field.
Experience: 3–5 years in energy auditing, building assessment, or sustainability consulting.
Skills: Proficient in energy modeling software, data analysis, knowledge of HVAC systems, lighting, and insulation. Familiarity with energy codes and green building standards.
Other Requirements: Strong report writing and communication skills, ability to work on-site, valid UAE driving license, and commitment to sustainability principles.
