Job Description:
The Control Panel Maintenance Technician in Abu Dhabi is responsible for the inspection, servicing, and repair of control panels used in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems across industrial, utility, and infrastructure facilities. This role ensures that all control systems function accurately and efficiently, contributing to the safe operation of critical electrical and mechanical equipment.
Key responsibilities include conducting routine maintenance and performance checks on control panels, identifying faulty components, replacing or repairing circuit breakers, relays, fuses, PLCs, and wiring. The technician interprets wiring diagrams and schematic drawings to troubleshoot and rectify faults promptly, ensuring minimal downtime in operations. The technician collaborates with engineers and system operators to optimize system performance, especially in complex control environments like water treatment plants, manufacturing units, or power facilities. Detailed record-keeping of maintenance activities and compliance with Abu Dhabi’s electrical safety codes are vital.
Working conditions may include confined spaces, high-voltage environments, and interaction with rotating machinery, necessitating strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Job Requirement:
Education: Diploma or certification in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, or Industrial Automation.
Experience: 3–5 years of practical experience in control panel maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
Skills: Proficient in reading electrical schematics, diagnosing control faults, working with PLCs and SCADA systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Other Requirements: Knowledge of Abu Dhabi’s industrial electrical regulations, ability to work shifts or respond to urgent repair needs, and familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and safety auditing.
