Job Description:
The Drilling Data Technician in Dubai supports drilling operations by collecting, processing, and managing drilling data to ensure accurate and timely reporting. This role involves real-time data monitoring from drilling rigs, ensuring data quality, and providing analytical support to drilling engineers and site supervisors.
Key responsibilities include acquiring data related to drilling parameters such as depth, pressure, rate of penetration, and mud properties. The technician uses specialized software to log, validate, and analyze data, helping identify drilling trends and potential issues. They coordinate closely with drilling teams to optimize drilling performance and assist in generating daily drilling reports and technical documentation.
The role demands a strong understanding of drilling processes, data acquisition tools, and attention to detail for effective data interpretation. The Drilling Data Technician also supports troubleshooting and maintains communication between field operations and engineering departments.
Job Requirement:
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or related field.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in drilling data management or oilfield operations.
Skills: Proficiency in data acquisition systems, drilling software (e.g., WellView, OpenWells), and strong analytical skills.
Other Requirements: Ability to work in fast-paced environments, strong communication skills, and willingness to work offshore or on-site as needed.
