Job Description:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a nonprofit organization in Dubai is the principal executive responsible for overall strategic direction, mission fulfillment, and operational leadership. This role entails working closely with the board of directors to develop long-term goals, overseeing financial sustainability, ensuring program excellence, and advocating for the organization’s vision. The CEO is accountable for fundraising strategy, staff development, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining compliance with UAE laws governing charitable organizations. They represent the organization in national and international forums, cultivating donor relationships and securing institutional funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities. Key responsibilities include directing budgeting processes, leading organizational development, evaluating program outcomes, and managing executive-level reports. The CEO must also ensure ethical governance, cultivate a strong organizational culture, and respond to humanitarian, educational, or environmental challenges in line with the nonprofit’s mission. In Dubai’s evolving nonprofit landscape, this role requires visionary thinking, cultural sensitivity, and adaptive leadership.
Job Requirement:
A master’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or public policy is highly preferred. Candidates must have at least 10 years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit or social impact sector. Strong governance knowledge, fundraising acumen, stakeholder relationship management, and understanding of UAE nonprofit regulations are essential. Excellent communication and strategic planning skills, along with fluency in English (Arabic is a plus), are also required.
