Job Description:
The Collaboration Development Manager is a pivotal bridge-builder responsible for identifying, initiating, and managing strategic collaborations with external stakeholders such as NGOs, academic institutions, private sector CSR divisions, donor agencies, and government bodies. This role is essential to advancing the nonprofit’s goals through mutual partnerships, resource sharing, and co-created programming. The manager works closely with program and fundraising teams to identify areas where partnerships can enhance service delivery, sustainability, and innovation.
This individual will map the stakeholder landscape, design partnership strategies, and drive the negotiation and development of collaboration agreements and MOUs. They also support proposal development for joint funding submissions and help track and evaluate the impact of ongoing partnerships. The role requires high emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and strong communication skills to ensure engagements are mutually beneficial and strategically aligned.
In addition to cultivating new partnerships, the Collaboration Development Manager maintains and strengthens existing relationships, organizing partner meetings, learning exchanges, and joint planning sessions. By serving as a key external representative of the organization, they contribute to its visibility, credibility, and ability to secure long-term institutional support. The position requires adaptability to shifting sector dynamics and a proactive approach to identifying new partnership models.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in international development, public affairs, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in partnership development, stakeholder relations, or external engagement. Experience working within the nonprofit or development sector is highly desirable. Candidates should have proven skills in stakeholder mapping, proposal writing, agreement drafting, and external communications. Knowledge of CSR partnerships, co-funding mechanisms, and the UAE/GCC philanthropic ecosystem is preferred. Fluency in English is essential, while Arabic language skills are an asset.
