Job Description:

The Circular Knitting Technician in Ajman is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting circular knitting machines used to produce tubular knitted fabrics for garments, home textiles, and industrial applications. This role is central to ensuring that fabric production runs smoothly, consistently, and with minimal material waste.

The technician begins by setting up the circular knitting machine, which includes threading yarns, calibrating needle beds, adjusting tension settings, and selecting appropriate stitch patterns based on production requirements. They interpret production orders to determine the yarn type, fabric weight, and dimensions needed for each batch. During machine operation, the technician monitors fabric output for defects such as holes, dropped stitches, or uneven textures.

Real-time adjustments may be required to correct yarn tension, replace worn needles, or resolve feed problems to maintain high-quality fabric output. Regular cleaning and lubrication of machine parts such as sinkers, needles, and cams are essential to prevent operational disruptions and extend equipment lifespan.

The technician works closely with quality control personnel to ensure finished fabric rolls meet specifications for consistency, elasticity, and appearance. They also maintain production logs, track machine performance, and record any deviations or breakdowns. In high-volume operations, efficiency and minimal downtime are key performance metrics.

This position requires an in-depth understanding of knitting structures, machine programming, and yarn behavior under tension. Safety and cleanliness are also essential, as technicians often work around moving parts and spinning yarns.

Job Requirement:

Applicants should hold a diploma or technical certificate in textile engineering or knitting technology, with 2–4 years of experience in circular knitting operations. Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting circular knitting machines, knowledge of yarn types, and an eye for fabric quality are essential. Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance are also required for success.
