Job Description:
The Clothing Closure Technician in Al Ain is responsible for installing and verifying the functionality of garment closure components such as zippers, buttons, hooks, snaps, Velcro, and drawstrings. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that garments are wearable, durable, and aligned with design specifications.
The technician’s daily tasks include selecting appropriate closure types based on the garment’s material and function, aligning closure points, and installing them using industrial sewing equipment or manual tools. They must be proficient in operating button-sewing machines, snap fastener presses, and zipper foot attachments. The technician also performs hand-finishing when required for delicate or high-end garments.
A significant portion of the job involves quality inspection—checking for alignment, secure attachment, and ease of use of each closure. If closures are misaligned or do not function properly, the technician must remove and reinstall them accurately. They are responsible for documenting any recurring issues and reporting them to production supervisors or quality control departments.
The role requires effective coordination with tailors, stitch operators, and quality inspectors to ensure closure installations are timely and up to standard. Additionally, the technician is expected to maintain a clean workstation, perform basic machine maintenance, and adhere to workplace safety practices.

Candidates should have completed secondary education or vocational training in apparel manufacturing, with 1–3 years of experience in garment finishing or closure installation. The role requires knowledge of various garment fasteners, proficiency with industrial sewing machines, excellent hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
