Job Description:
The Textile Quality Checker in Dubai is responsible for ensuring that textile materials, semi-finished goods, and completed garments meet established quality standards before further processing or delivery. This role is key in maintaining consistency, minimizing defects, and supporting customer satisfaction through rigorous inspection practices.
Primary responsibilities include visually and manually inspecting fabrics and garments for flaws such as weaving inconsistencies, dye irregularities, tears, stains, misaligned patterns, or defective stitching. Using tools such as magnifiers, measuring tapes, and defect markers, the Quality Checker identifies issues and classifies them based on severity.
The role involves checking sample batches from ongoing production, inspecting bulk shipments, and conducting random quality audits. The Quality Checker records findings, prepares reports, and collaborates with production supervisors, stitchers, and dyeing or weaving technicians to resolve recurring quality issues.
In addition to visual checks, this role may involve simple mechanical or performance tests—such as stretch, shrinkage, and colorfastness assessments—depending on the type of textile. Maintaining organized records of all inspections and ensuring that defective items are quarantined for rework or rejection are part of daily tasks.
The Quality Checker plays a preventive role, helping identify root causes of defects and contributing to continuous improvement in production methods. Safety protocols and hygiene standards must also be maintained when handling large volumes of fabric.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should hold a secondary school certificate or a diploma in textiles, with at least 1–3 years of experience in textile inspection or garment quality control. Strong knowledge of fabric types, defect categories, and quality standards is essential. The ability to use inspection tools, follow documentation procedures, and communicate clearly with production teams is required. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are critical.
