Job Description:
The Academic Content Developer in Al Khor is responsible for creating, revising, and curating high-quality educational content tailored to academic programs in higher education or vocational training. This role works closely with faculty, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to develop learning materials that align with course objectives, institutional standards, and student needs.
Key duties include writing and editing textbooks, lecture content, assessments, case studies, and multimedia learning aids. The developer ensures content accuracy, academic integrity, and cultural relevance while incorporating active learning principles and inclusivity. They may also design supplemental resources such as study guides, digital worksheets, and lab manuals for online and hybrid learning environments.
The role requires critical thinking, pedagogical insight, and creativity to translate complex topics into accessible, learner-centered content. The Academic Content Developer plays an essential part in ensuring that academic materials meet accreditation, compliance, and quality assurance requirements.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, English, or a relevant academic discipline; Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in academic content creation, editing, or curriculum development, preferably within higher education.
Skills:
Strong academic writing and content structuring abilities.
Familiarity with instructional design principles and learning taxonomies (e.g., Bloom’s).
Attention to detail in grammar, formatting, and subject accuracy.
Ability to collaborate with faculty and manage feedback constructively.
Proficiency in educational technologies and document creation tools.
Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of Qatari or Gulf education systems is advantageous.
