Job Description:
The Academic Dean in Doha holds a top-tier leadership position within a university or college, responsible for the strategic direction, academic quality, and operational efficiency of multiple faculties or schools. This role ensures that academic programs meet institutional standards, align with national and international accreditation requirements, and reflect the educational goals of Qatar’s higher education framework.
Primary responsibilities include leading academic planning and development, managing faculty recruitment and evaluation, promoting research excellence, and fostering a culture of teaching innovation and inclusivity. The Academic Dean also collaborates with university leadership on strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and institutional policy development.
In addition to overseeing program accreditation and compliance, the Dean is a public representative of the institution, building partnerships with governmental bodies, industry leaders, and international academic networks. This role also involves mentoring department heads, overseeing student success initiatives, and ensuring continual improvement of academic offerings.
Job Requirement:
Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in a relevant academic field. Advanced certifications in academic leadership or university administration are advantageous.
Experience: Minimum of 10–15 years in higher education, including 5+ years in senior academic leadership roles such as Dean, Associate Dean, or Department Chair.
Skills:
Proven ability to manage complex academic structures and multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong expertise in policy development, curriculum innovation, and institutional accreditation.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Strategic mindset with a deep understanding of global and regional education trends.
Language: Fluency in English is essential; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred.

Familiarity with Qatar’s higher education ecosystem and Ministry of Education standards.
