Job Description:
The Academic Program Developer in Al Wukair is responsible for designing and developing comprehensive academic programs that align with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and evolving industry needs. This role involves close collaboration with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and faculty to ensure the programs are rigorous, relevant, and adaptable to both in-person and digital delivery formats.
Key responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, benchmarking international academic standards, mapping course content to learning outcomes, and integrating assessments and instructional materials. The developer ensures that programs meet accreditation and regulatory requirements while supporting pedagogical innovation and learner engagement.
The Academic Program Developer also plays a strategic role in launching new degree or certification offerings, revising existing programs for market relevance, and evaluating the success of programs through feedback and performance metrics. This role is essential in ensuring the institution’s academic portfolio remains competitive, forward-thinking, and aligned with Qatar’s national education strategy.
Job Requirement:
Education: Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years in academic program development, higher education planning, or instructional design.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of curriculum design and outcome-based education.
Familiarity with accreditation standards and quality assurance processes.
Ability to collaborate with diverse academic teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in learning management systems and content development tools.
Excellent analytical and project management skills.
Language: Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
