Job Description:
The Academic Program Director in Umm Salal oversees the strategic planning, development, and execution of academic programs within a college, university, or specialized training institute. This leadership role ensures that educational offerings are aligned with institutional goals, industry standards, and student needs in Qatar.
Key responsibilities include curriculum development oversight, faculty coordination, program evaluation, and ensuring accreditation compliance. The director collaborates with academic staff to promote high-quality teaching and learning outcomes and may lead the integration of digital tools, research initiatives, and interdisciplinary approaches.
The role also involves setting academic priorities, managing budgets related to the program, reviewing student performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement. The Academic Program Director serves as a bridge between institutional leadership, faculty, and external stakeholders to ensure excellence and innovation in academic delivery.
Job Requirement:
Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Education, Academic Leadership, or relevant field.
Experience: 5–7 years in academic program management, faculty leadership, or curriculum development.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Deep understanding of higher education structures and policies.
Ability to develop and assess academic strategies and outcomes.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.
Familiarity with accreditation and quality assurance standards.
