Job Description:
The Aerospace Sourcing Manager in Al Shahaniya is responsible for leading procurement and strategic sourcing activities related to aircraft parts, aviation components, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) services, and aerospace systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-compliant supply chain operations that support airline and airport technical functions.
Key responsibilities include identifying reliable aerospace suppliers, negotiating long-term supply contracts, managing vendor performance, and overseeing procurement planning for critical aviation inventory. The manager ensures compliance with Qatari and international aviation procurement regulations, supports cost-reduction initiatives, and aligns sourcing strategies with technical maintenance schedules and operational forecasts.
The Aerospace Sourcing Manager also collaborates with engineering, finance, and logistics teams to optimize inventory turnover, reduce lead times, and secure high-value materials and services under the best terms.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Aerospace Engineering, or Business; certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is preferred.
Experience:
5–8 years in procurement or sourcing within the aviation or aerospace industry.
Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and complex contracts.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of aerospace supply chains and regulatory requirements.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and sourcing platforms.
Ability to assess supplier risk and ensure quality assurance.
Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic is an asset.
