Job Description:
The Air Transport Strategy Advisor in Umm Salal provides expert guidance on strategic planning and policy development to support the growth and competitiveness of Qatar’s air transport sector. This role involves analyzing market trends, regulatory environments, and international aviation developments to advise government bodies, airlines, and airport authorities on strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include developing long-term strategies for air traffic growth, route development, airline partnerships, and market access. The advisor collaborates with stakeholders to assess economic impacts, negotiate bilateral air service agreements, and support sustainability and innovation goals. They also monitor global aviation policy changes and advise on compliance with ICAO and QCAA regulations.
This strategic position plays a critical role in shaping Qatar’s aviation future, enhancing connectivity, and ensuring alignment with national development plans.
Job Requirement:
Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Economics, Public Policy, or related fields.
Experience:
7+ years in aviation strategy, air transport policy, or economic analysis.
Experience working with aviation regulators, airlines, or government agencies.
Skills:
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Expertise in aviation market analysis and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Knowledge of international air service agreements and bilateral negotiations.
Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is beneficial.
