Job Description:

The Air Cargo Operations Manager in Mesaieed oversees all aspects of air freight handling, logistics coordination, and cargo terminal operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient processing of inbound and outbound cargo in compliance with IATA, ICAO, and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) regulations.

Key responsibilities include managing warehouse activities, cargo documentation, customs coordination, and ground handling logistics. The manager supervises cargo staff, ensures adherence to standard operating procedures, and resolves issues related to delays, damage, or regulatory compliance. The role also involves capacity planning, performance monitoring, and implementing process improvements to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and maximize operational efficiency.

The Air Cargo Operations Manager works closely with freight forwarders, airlines, customs officials, and warehouse teams to ensure timely cargo handling and delivery. This position is critical in supporting Qatar’s growing cargo throughput and global trade connectivity.

Job Requirement:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 7–9 years in air cargo or freight logistics operations.

At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role within cargo operations.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of air cargo regulations, documentation, and handling procedures.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and cargo tracking tools.

Excellent coordination, time management, and decision-making capabilities.

Proficient in customs clearance and international shipping protocols.

Language: Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Other Requirements:

Certification in dangerous goods handling (IATA DGR) preferred.

Willingness to work flexible hours and manage high-volume operations.

Strong attention to safety, security, and regulatory compliance.

Analytical mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
