Job Description:

The Aircraft Movement Coordinator in Al Shamal plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient movement of aircraft on the ground. Key responsibilities include monitoring flight schedules and aircraft positioning, communicating real-time movement instructions to ground crews, and ensuring that all aircraft transitions are executed without delays or safety violations. The coordinator updates operational systems with accurate aircraft movement data and reports any irregularities, delays, or safety hazards to supervisors and relevant departments.

This role is essential for preventing congestion on aprons and taxiways and ensuring on-time performance of departures and arrivals. It requires excellent multitasking, communication, and situational awareness to manage multiple aircraft movements simultaneously within strict time constraints.

Job Requirement:

Experience:

3–5 years in airside operations, aircraft dispatch, or apron control.

Prior experience coordinating aircraft ground movements preferred.

Skills:

Strong understanding of airport layout, aircraft types, and ground handling protocols.

Knowledge of ICAO and QCAA safety and operational guidelines.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Ability to make quick decisions in dynamic environments.

Proficiency in using airport resource and flight tracking systems.

Language: Fluent in English required; Arabic is advantageous.

Other Requirements:

Must hold or be eligible for an airside driving permit.

Willingness to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

High level of vigilance, safety awareness, and responsiveness.

Comfortable working in outdoor airside environments.
