Job Description:
The Asset Management Engineer in Doha, Qatar, is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, utilization, and lifecycle management of shipbuilding equipment and marine machinery assets. This role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of assets used in ship construction and repair projects.
Key responsibilities include developing asset management plans, scheduling maintenance activities, coordinating with engineering and operations teams, and implementing best practices for asset tracking and inventory control. The engineer monitors asset condition through inspections and data analysis, recommending upgrades or replacements when necessary. Effective management of asset documentation and compliance with safety and regulatory standards is critical. This role supports project timelines by minimizing downtime and extending asset life, contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of Qatar’s shipbuilding industry.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 3–5 years in asset management, maintenance engineering, or related roles, preferably in shipbuilding or maritime sectors.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management and maintenance planning.
Proficiency with asset management software and ERP systems.
Analytical skills to assess asset performance and recommend improvements.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with maritime safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Language: Proficient in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
