Job Description:
The Commercial Agreements Manager in Doha, Qatar, is responsible for overseeing and managing all commercial contracts and agreements related to shipbuilding projects and marine machinery services. This role ensures that commercial terms align with company objectives, legal requirements, and industry standards while mitigating risks and maximizing business opportunities.
Key responsibilities include negotiating contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and maritime regulations. The manager collaborates closely with legal, finance, procurement, and project teams to align commercial strategies with operational goals. Monitoring contract performance, resolving disputes, and implementing corrective actions are also critical functions.
By effectively managing commercial agreements, the role supports Qatar’s shipbuilding sector in achieving sustainable growth, profitability, and strong client relationships.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Maritime Studies, or related discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in commercial contract management or commercial negotiation, preferably within shipbuilding, marine engineering, or related industries.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
In-depth understanding of commercial law and maritime regulations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office.
Language: Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
