Job Description:
The Circuit Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing electronic circuits and control systems used in ship machinery and marine equipment in Al Daayen’s shipbuilding industry. This role involves creating detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and circuit simulations to ensure reliable and efficient electronic performance.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with systems engineers and mechanical teams to integrate electronic controls with shipboard machinery, instrumentation, and automation systems. The engineer conducts tests and evaluations to validate circuit designs, troubleshoot faults, and optimize functionality under marine environmental conditions.
The Circuit Design Engineer ensures designs meet maritime safety regulations and classification society standards. They participate in prototype development, design reviews, and technical documentation preparation. The role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of electronics technologies and applying best practices in design and quality control.
Hands-on involvement in testing and commissioning phases, as well as coordination with manufacturers and suppliers, is essential. The engineer plays a vital role in advancing the technological capabilities of Qatar’s shipbuilding sector by delivering robust electronic solutions for marine applications.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in circuit design, preferably in marine, shipbuilding, or industrial electronics.
Skills:
Proficiency with circuit design and simulation software such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar.
Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics.
Knowledge of marine electronic standards and safety requirements.
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize electronic circuits.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Language: Proficient in English for technical documentation and collaboration.
