Job Description:
The Capacity Development Officer is responsible for enhancing the skills, knowledge, and effectiveness of nonprofit staff, volunteers, and partner organizations in Doha. This role supports organizational growth by identifying capacity gaps, designing development programs, and facilitating training and mentoring activities.
Key responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, developing capacity-building strategies, coordinating workshops and seminars, monitoring progress, and evaluating the impact of development initiatives. The officer collaborates with internal teams and external experts to ensure capacity development efforts align with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives. This role requires strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills to foster sustainable development within the nonprofit sector.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Social Sciences, Education, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in capacity development, training, or organizational strengthening within nonprofit or development organizations.
Skills:
Proficient in designing and implementing capacity-building programs.
Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to conduct training needs assessments and impact evaluations.
Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and partners.
Knowledge of nonprofit management and sector-specific challenges.
Language: Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency is preferred.
