Job Description:
The Communications and Media Lead is responsible for overseeing all external communications and media-related activities for a nonprofit organization based in Al Thakhira. This role plays a vital part in crafting the organization’s voice, managing its public presence, and ensuring that key messages reach stakeholders, partners, and the wider community through strategic channels. The role involves managing content creation, media relations, digital outreach, and brand consistency across platforms.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing communications strategies, producing multimedia content, coordinating media campaigns, managing social media platforms, and supporting storytelling initiatives. The Communications and Media Lead will also collaborate with program and development teams to ensure that impact stories, campaigns, and donor communications are aligned and well-promoted. The role requires a creative yet analytical mindset, with a strong understanding of how to influence and engage diverse audiences.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in nonprofit communications, media management, or public affairs, with a proven record of content creation and media outreach.
Skills:
Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling capabilities.
Proficiency in social media strategy and content planning.
Familiarity with digital marketing tools and media analytics.
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
Experience managing media relationships and coordinating press coverage.
Language: Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred.
