Job Description:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the strategic leader responsible for driving the mission and long-term sustainability of a nonprofit organization based in Doha, Qatar. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO oversees overall operations, ensures impactful program delivery, fosters stakeholder engagement, and drives fundraising and advocacy initiatives. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, guiding strategic planning, overseeing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with national laws and global NGO standards.

Key responsibilities include building strong partnerships with donors, government bodies, and community organizations, enhancing visibility through advocacy and media, and guiding organizational growth aligned with Qatar’s national development goals. The CEO is also tasked with fostering an inclusive workplace culture, developing leadership talent, and promoting innovation across programmatic and operational areas. Representing the organization in public forums and international platforms is a critical function of the role.

Job Requirement:

Education: Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 10 years in senior leadership roles within nonprofit, NGO, or social enterprise sectors, with at least 5 years in the MENA region preferred.

Skills:

Proven leadership in complex, mission-driven organizations.

Strong financial, governance, and operational management expertise.

Excellent communication and stakeholder negotiation skills.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience with donor relations, grant writing, and impact evaluation.

Language: Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.

Other Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to navigate multicultural environments.

Knowledge of Qatari nonprofit regulations and sectoral frameworks.

Willingness to travel locally and internationally for advocacy and partnership development.

High ethical standards and a commitment to social impact and community development.
