Job Description:
The Communications and Public Affairs Officer supports the development and execution of strategic communication plans that enhance the nonprofit’s visibility and advocacy efforts in Al Thakhira. This role coordinates public affairs initiatives, crafts messaging for diverse audiences, and manages media and stakeholder communications to promote the organization’s objectives.
Key responsibilities include drafting press releases, managing social media content, organizing events and campaigns, monitoring public sentiment, and liaising with government entities and partners. The officer collaborates closely with communications, policy, and program teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals. This role demands strong writing, media relations, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in communications, public affairs, or advocacy roles, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Knowledge of media relations and public affairs strategies.
Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and build relationships.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Language: Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills are preferred.
