Job Description:
The Employment Policy Officer in Doha is responsible for developing, reviewing, and updating organizational employment policies to ensure alignment with Qatari labor law, international standards, and internal governance frameworks. This role acts as the central point for employment policy advisory and supports leadership and HR teams in policy interpretation, compliance, and implementation.
Key responsibilities include drafting HR policies and procedures related to recruitment, compensation, employee relations, leave, discipline, and termination. The officer conducts policy audits, ensures consistency across departments, and advises on emerging labor trends and legislative updates. Additionally, the role supports diversity, equity, and inclusion policy development and collaborates with compliance and legal units on risk mitigation.
The position is ideal for professionals who combine a strong understanding of labor law with policy development expertise, contributing to a fair, transparent, and consistent work environment within Doha’s complex and diverse organizational landscape.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Law, or related field; postgraduate studies or policy certifications preferred.
Experience: 5–7 years in HR policy development, employee relations, or labor compliance roles.
Skills:
Strong writing, research, and policy analysis abilities.
Excellent understanding of employment legislation and regulatory frameworks in Qatar.
Ability to align policy with organizational strategy and risk management.
Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Skilled in drafting governance documents and procedure manuals.
Language: Fluency in English required; Arabic is highly preferred.
Other Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to legislative monitoring.
Familiarity with Qatari labor reforms, public and private sector policy standards.
Experience managing policy rollouts across diverse teams.
